Welcome to the Switzerland Employment page. On this page I will be keeping track of the Swiss labor market. To be more specific, I will monitor annual employment percentage changes on a quarterly basis and the unemployment rate as defined by the ILO (International Labour Organisation). Switzerland’s employment information is provided by the Federal Statistical Office of Switzerland.

During the 4rd quarter of 2011, Switzerland’s economy experienced 2.6% growth in employed persons year over year according to the Federal Statistical Office. During the same period the unemployment rate (ILO) fell from 4.2% to 4.1% year over year.

During the 3rd quarter of 2011, Switzerland’s economy experienced 2.2% growth in employed persons year over year according to the Federal Statistical Office. During the same period the unemployment rate (ILO) fell from 4.6% to 4.2% year over year.
