Currency Trading Price

by Stephan Smith on September 27, 2011

In an effort to not assume you know what I mean when I say currency trading price, I am going to take this time to explain what it means. A currency trading price is simply the cost to exchange one currency for another.

So lets say the United States dollar‘s trading price is 1.2487 relative to the European euro. That means it takes 1.2487 United States dollars to buy one euro. That is the United States dollar’s trading price relative to the European euro. If you wanted to represent this example as a currency pair, it would be represented as so: EUR/USD = 1.2487.

1.2487 USDs to buy 1 EUR.

I recommend that you check out my article about the currency pair.
